How To Apply
Ensure you meet the requirements to apply.
- Visit the Explore Apartments page for a list of eligibility requirements for each apartment community.
- Accept your offer of admission to CSU. Post-Doctoral Fellows, Visiting Faculty, and Staff must have a NetID created prior to accessing the application.
- Get your CSU NetID .
Pay the Housing Deposit and non-refundable application fee:
- Pay the $300 housing deposit plus $50 non-refundable application fee with credit or debit card on the Apartment Application.
- The deposit is refundable to your CSU account prior to assignment of an apartment. Cancellations after an apartment assignment has been accepted are subject to a Contract Breakage Fee.
- Upon accepting an apartment assignment offer, the apartment lease agreement/contract you acknowledge via the CSU Housing Portal is binding for the entire term.
- Deposits are refunded to the University account of all non-returning residents within 60 days of checkout from the university apartments, after damages are assessed, if applicable.
- Deposits roll over to the next term for residents who return to the residence halls or university apartments.
- Pell Grant Eligible students – request a waiver of the housing deposit by emailing housing@colostate.edu .
Apply as early as possible.
- The University Apartments fill quickly and applications are accepted year-round. Placement and roommate preferences are not guaranteed.
- Priority is determined by application submission date.
- CSU students are given priority assignments, followed by post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and staff.
