Sustainability
"We have not inherited
this earth from our ancestors, but borrowed it from our children"
-Kenyan Proverb
Housing and Dining Services is committed to sustainability.Through a variety of innovative programs and the work of the CSU Recycling Committee, the department has promoted Earth-friendly activities like recycling, energy-conservation, clean energy, and alternative transportation. In 2004, CSU became just the second university in the country to offer green power to on-campus residents. In 2005, CSU students placed 7th nationally in the RecycleMania competition and we celebrated with a large Earth Day festival with live music, booths, and games. We encourage you to explore ways to get involved and make a difference.
