FAQs
Q: What can my RamCard be used for?
Q: Is there a fee for my RamCard?
Yes. Incoming undergraduate students pay this fee through their enrollment fee charge. Graduate students, IEP and students receiving their second bachelor's degree pay for their ID in the RamCard Office at the time their ID is produced. A CSU employee’s first RamCard is free. All students and employees pay for a replacement RamCard.
Q: What do I do if I’ve lost my RamCard or if I've found someone else’s RamCard?
If you find a RamCard, please drop it off at the RamCard Office or in a mailbox (on or off campus) as soon as possible.
If you lost your RamCard, check with the RamCard Office to see if it has been turned in. It may take several business days for the RamCard Office to receive a lost ID through the mail. The RamCard Office will send an email notice to the address you have on file when your card is turned in.
Q: Seems like my RamCard isn’t working right. What should I do?
Bring your RamCard in to the RamCard Office and we’ll be glad to help you figure out and fix the issue.
Q: Do I ever need to renew my RamCard?
As long as your status (i.e. “student”, “employee”, etc.) stays the same, you will not need to obtain a new University ID. Every individual may only have one working RamCard at any given time. If your status changes, you are eligible to trade in your most recent RamCard for a RamCard with your current status.
Q: What is RamCash and how can I add money to my RamCash balance?
Q: Does RamCash carry over to the next semester?
Yes. Your balance will stay in your RamCash account for one year after no use.
Q: Can I withdraw the balance from my RamCash account?
Yes. There is a $25 processing fee that will be deducted from your balance upon withdrawal. You will need to complete and submit a withdrawal form in the RamCard Office. You have the option of receiving a mailed check (2 to 3 weeks to process) or credited to your University student account (1 week to process).
Q: How do I request a RamCash refund for laundry?
To request a refund for a loss of RamCash due to an error with a laundry machine go to http://wsnet.colostate.edu/cwis10/refundrequest/requestrefund.aspx.
Q: How do I get an International Student Identity Card (ISIC)?
If you are planning on studying abroad, you can purchase your ISIC (International Student Identity Card) in the RamCard Office for $30. The ISIC is instant-issue and valid for one year from date of issuance.
