Spectacular Mountain Location

Incredible Hiking Opportunities moutains at pingree

The Pingree Park Campus is the starting point for outstanding mountain hikes. Walks around the valley provide opportunities to see and hear wildlife and can be completed in as little as 30 minutes. Longer day hikes to Cirque Meadows and Surprise Pond follow well-established trails and offer fantastic mountain views.

Hikes to Mummy Pass or Stormy Peaks Pass enter Rocky Mountain National Park, providing above-tree-line experiences. Non-technical peak ascents can be made on area mountains including Signal Mountain 11,262 ft. (3447m), Stormy Peaks 12,148 ft. (3702m) and Comanche Peak 12,702 ft. (3872m).

Alpine (early morning) starts are advised on all hikes going above tree line to avoid afternoon lightning storms. Whatever your goal, Pingree Park's remote location affords opportunities for incredible outdoor adventures.
