RELEVANT WORK/LIVING INFORMATION: Pingree Park is a branch campus of Colorado State University located 53 miles west of Fort Collins. The property is located at 9,000 ft. in a mountain valley on the northern boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park. Pingree is a conference center for educational groups of all ages, as well as the traditional NR-220 field session site. The location is remote and the conveniences of the city, including the daily contact with friends, left behind. All employees are required to live in housing provided by the University and a slight meal deduction will be made each pay period. No pets are permitted.
A position at Pingree Park combines many positive attributes of summer camp work and on campus employment. The location is beautiful and the staff develops into a team that lives and works together through the season. Opportunities for hiking, climbing, mountain biking and fishing abound. Most employees work a 40-hour work week within the service areas. Everyone gets two or three consecutive days off each week. At Pingree, all employees are expected to take ownership in the well being of the campus and stewardship toward the natural environment.
HIRING CRITERIA: Hiring will be based upon experience in related work situations, living experiences, and personal interest. We believe strongly in the "team" concept and the ability of applicants to work and live with others. Please take time to complete all application materials. Be sure to include a minimum of one written reference. Individuals will be selected for an interview through a screening process. Final decisions will be made after interviews are complete in late March.
