Transfer and Returning Students
There are many benefits for transfer and continuing students who choose to live in the residence halls:
- Returning students get first choice for rooms! Select a single in your first hall choice or choose a roommate . Transfer students will be assigned rooms on a first come, first serve basis as long as rooms are available.
- Upperclass housing in Durward Hall floors 10-12
- Get to know the campus and meet people in the social environment the halls provide
- Walking distance to class
- Direct high-speed Internet connection included in room and board fee
- All utilities paid for including local phone and cable TV
- No dishes or cooking – eat in any one of the 6 dining centers
- Avoid the hassle and expense of moving off campus
- Academic environment – Research has shown that on an average, it is the students living in residence halls who obtain higher grade-point averages.
The Residence Hall Room Selection Campaign starts early in February .
During the campaign students are encouraged to remain in the halls for
next year. Room Selection is based on a "first come first serve" basis.
We strongly recommend that students apply early. See your Office
Manager to reserve your room.
