What to Bring When You Move In

Rooms are furnished with these basics (one item per student):

  • Studying in the residence roomMattress (twin extra long, 39" x 80")

  • Bed (height-adjustable and can be lofted based on availability of parts)

  • Desk

  • Chair

  • Wardrobe /closet

  • Trash can and recycling bin

You will need to provide your own:  

Hanging out in the lobbyYou may wish to bring:

  • Computer/laptop

  • Stereo

  • TV

  • Microfridge (or small microwave and refrigerator)

  • Power strip and/or surge protector

  • Alarm clock

  • Desk lamp – halogen lamps are not allowed

Please note:

  • Each residence hall has a laundry facility located in the building. All laundry is paid for using RamCash accounts.

  • Custodial services are provided by Environmental Technicians for all bathroom facilities, corridors, floor lounges, and other public areas

  • It is your responsibility to clean your own room (some cleaning supplies and equipment are provided at your hall’s front desk for your use)

  • It’s often a good idea for roommates to contact each other before arriving at CSU to find out what each person intends to bring. You may discover that you own duplicates of some items but not others.
