Move-In Day
Students may begin checking in at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013. The R.A.M.S. (Resource and Move-in Staff) Teams are here to welcome you and assist you during check-in. Our residence hall front desks are open 24 hours a day to assist you with move-in. Please note the first day of classes is Monday, August 26, 2013. Check the orientation and registration schedule you have received separately and the important dates.
Fall and Spring Breaks and Semester End
Braiden, Durward, Edwards, Newsom, Parmelee, and Westfall Halls will remain open during fall and spring breaks. All other halls will be closed. There is no additional room fee during the fall or spring break; however, students must register at www.myhousing.colostate.edu to stay.
Parmelee Dining Center will remain open during breaks; all other dining centers will be closed. Optional meals must be pre-purchased at www.myhousing.colostate.edu. Watch your mailbox for additional details around break times: failure to follow these instructions will result in charges.
Parmelee Hall is the only residence hall that will remain open during winter break. There is a daily room and board fee for winter break that includes two meals per day at Parmelee Dining Center.
-
Plan on leaving for semester break within 24 hours after your last final exam and no later than 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
-
If you must stay Friday night, prior approval must be received from your Residence Director. However, you must then leave the residence hall by 10:00 a.m. Saturday after finals.
-
There is a $50 late checkout charge and staff will escort you out of the building if you have not departed your residence hall on time.
-
If you are not returning spring semester you MUST check out when you leave in December. The residence hall room cannot be used as storage space during winter break. Checkout, including returning your residence hall keys, is done with the Office Manager at the residence hall desk during regular office hours.
-
Loss of a roommate at the end of fall semester does not guarantee that you will have a single room spring semester. You must prepare your room to receive a roommate before leaving for winter break. Details can be obtained from your hall's Office Manager.
-
If you are academically dismissed or for some other unforeseen reason you find, after winter break begins, that you will not return spring semester, you may check out on designated days (that will be announced before winter break) or by making a special appointment with your residence hall Office Manager. Failure to check out by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, will result in a late checkout fee of $50 as well as additional room and board charges for each day thereafter.

It is highly recommended that residence hall students check their @rams.colostate.edu email address during semester breaks to receive notifications of their monthly billing statements available on RAMweb. Students may also want to add additional eBilling email addresses, such as parents and grandparents who may be responsible for paying a portion of their bill. Students may add up to four additional email addresses on RAMweb that will receive monthly eBilling notifications.
