The Durrell Center is a two level complex located between Durward and Westfall Hall, consisting of the Dining Center & Durrell Express on the upper level, and a variety of multipurpose rooms and offices for programming, relaxing, and studying on the lower level.

The lower level of the Durrell Center is managed and staffed by GUIDE and is open daily during the following hours:

RA TRAINING HOURS: The Durrell Center Resource Room opens one week early to accommodate Resident Assistants (RAs) as they prepare their floors for opening. Please see your RD & ARD Team for those hours.

CLOSURES THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER: The Durrell Center Resource, Game, and Weight Rooms are closed during all academic breaks including Winter, Spring, and Fall Breaks. The Durrell Center will also be closed during Finals Week.

SUMMER BREAK RELOCATION: During the summer the Durrell Center is closed to make room for the many Conferences taking place at CSU. However, all of our Resource Room Equipment is available in the Westfall Hall Multipurpose Room. Please call Westfall for those hours during the summer months at (970) 491-5954.

Multipurpose Rooms

Two large, multipurpose rooms are available in the Durrell Center for Residence Life events. Other campus offices may be able to use the Durrell Center with approval from the Director of Residence Life.

Durrell Center Rooms can be reserved through the Palmer Center with Ashley Vigil at (970) 491-4721.

DC Bottoms:
DC Bottoms is a 2033 square foot room including a stage, projector screen, projector, and sound system, commonly used for presentations, movie viewings, and training sessions.

135 person capacity.

Red Carpet Room:
The Red Carpet Room is a 1777 square foot room including a white board, cork boards, and a piano, commonly used for large meetings, training sessions, and indoor programs and events.

118 person capacity.

Resource Room:
The Resource Room has various items and supplies for bulletin boards, posters, buttons, and other items to enhance your programming efforts.

The Game Room includes three billiards tables, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, large screen TV, and ample seating for a study group, sporting event viewing, and taking a quick nap between classes. Equipment and games are free to check-out, just leave your valid student ID at the front desk.

Weight Room:
The Weight Room is composed of free weights, plate-loaded, muscle specific machines, and cardiovascular equipment ranging from stair climbers and treadmills to stationary bikes, and the Freedom Trainer. The weight room is free to use with a valid student ID.

Technical Equipment Check Out

Technical Equipment is available to Housing and Dining Services (HDS) Staff for HDS Events who fill out a Tech Request Form. Priority will be given on a first come first served basis according to the date stamp on the Request Form.
